Ladies Only Swimming
	Currently, a number of swimming pools in the Milton Keynes area offer swimming sessions for "Ladies Only". Leon School is the only one which we have found so far who can offer a regular female lifeguard. All information was accurate at the time of writing.
Leon School & Sports College Swimming Pool, Bletchley Wednesday evenings, 5.30-6.30 - £1.50 This session is staffed by a female lifeguard. In exceptional circumstances or during emergencies, a male lifeguard may be present. In this case, the staff will inform you at reception and you have the option to not swim that week. The sessions are usually very quiet, with five ladies swimming on average. The seperate male and female changing rooms do not have individual cubicles, but there is one cubicle in the ladies' changing room with a shower and space for ladies to change in if they prefer. www.leon-school.org/Leisure_Centre/Swimming_Pool.htm
Middleton Pool, Newport Pagnell Monday mornings, 11-12 and Tuesday mornings 10-11 - £3.52 These times are during school term time only. There are seperate timetables for school holidays, which are available on the website - www.newport-pagnell.org.uk. The pool has individual cubicles in the changing rooms, but no segregation for men or women. The pool is not able to offer female lifeguards for the sessions.
Woughton Leisure Centre Tuesday evenings, 7.45-8.45 - £4.10 There are slight differences in the timetable during school holidays - please check the website - www.woughtoncentre.co.uk. There is a viewing window above the pool, which is usually covered, but does mean that the pool can be viewed by the public. The centre cannot guarantee female lifeguards and as a result the sessions may be staffed by men.
Stantonbury Campus Leisure Centre Tuesday evenings, 7.45-8.25 - £3.40 (£2.30 for members) The changing areas have recently undergone refurbishment, during which time the pool was closed. It has now reopened. For more details, visit the website: www.stantonbury.org.uk/leisurecentre. The centre does not guarantee female lifeguards at the sessions.
Watling Way Pool This pool is not open to the public, but ACE (Adults Continuing Education) do run courses there for women who wish to take beginners or internediate lessons. Information on these courses can be found at the ACE website http://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/adulteducation/ The next courses start in April and run for 12 weeks at a cost of £60 (concessionary rates at £40).
